Painting at first
attempt in Liverpool has been so useful. Observing its ligth so different from
the Mediterranean one, and trying to get it on a 24×32cm surface seemed, at the
very beginning, a very difficult task.
Moreover, the
weather conditions. Rain and wind were with me everyday.
But, getting over
all this, painting and people from Liverpool reactions to my painting has been
great.
People asked me
politely if they could see my painting, take a picture...expressions like
amazing, beautiful, nice...were heard constantly but softly for not to disturb
me.
Children with their
parents, young adults doing some exercice, people walking after work and, of
course, tourists.
My only disgusting
experience was with some Spanish tourists!
A 45-year-old
couple with their children walked near me. One of their children said ' so
cool', the woman also seemed interested in something in my painting but his
husband hurt me so deeply answering to his family 'he's just a street petty
artist'.
Petty artist is the
way those Spanish tourists, like me, described me. I guess, they couldn' t know
I am Spanish. I didn' t answer them, although I think I had to and in a rude
way....
